Please read these terms and conditions ("terms and conditions", "terms") carefully before using kefaloniarides.com, krides.gr and kefaloniarides.gr websites (“website”, "service") operated by the Sole Proprietorship ZOTAI KLAINTI TOY BΑSKIM. In these terms and conditions, all mention of Kefalonia Rides and KRides will be a reference to the legal name of the Sole Proprietorship: ZOTAI KLAINTI TOY BΑSKIM ("us", 'we", "our") with G.E.MI. Conditions of use
By using this website and our services, you certify that you have read and reviewed this Agreement and that you agree to comply with its terms. If you do not want to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, you are advised to stop using the website accordingly. Kefalonia Rides only grants use and access of this website, its products, and its services to those who have accepted its terms.

Intellectual property
You agree that all materials, products, and services provided on this website are the property of Kefalonia Rides, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors including all copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property. You also agree that you will not reproduce or redistribute the Kefalonia Rides’s intellectual property in any way, including electronic, digital, or new trademark registrations.
You grant Kefalonia Rides a royalty-free and non-exclusive license to display, use, copy, transmit, and broadcast the content you upload and publish. For issues regarding intellectual property claims, you should contact the company in order to come to an agreement.
Payment Methods
For all vehicle categories, the renter must present a valid credit/debit card accepted by ZOTAI KLAINTI TOY BΑSKIM (hereinafter referred to as Kefalonia Rides – KRIDES) to cover the security deposit and rental charges. Rental costs may also be paid in cash.
Reservations
To confirm a reservation, an advance deposit or full payment is required and can be completed through our online booking system on our website www.kefaloniardes.com.
The deposit amount will depend on the rental value of the vehicle and will be agreed upon case by case with Kefalonia Rides.
All deposits/payments must be transferred in full to the company bank account. Any interbank transfer fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. If such fees are not paid at the time of transfer, they will be charged upon final settlement of the rental amount.
After payment, please send the bank receipt to the following email: …………………, including your full name as payment reference.
Your reservation is valid only once the funds have been received in our bank account.
If more than 5 hours pass after our phone reservation agreement and proof of payment has not been sent, the reservation will be cancelled.
Cancellation Policy
- If a reservation is cancelled by the customer up to 48 hours before the scheduled rental date and time, the deposit will be fully refunded, minus any bank transfer fees.
- If cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled rental date and time, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If the customer does not notify us of cancellation and fails to appear at the agreed time/date, the reservation is cancelled due to customer fault and the deposit is non-refundable.
- If the reservation is cancelled by Kefalonia Rides, for any reason, the full deposit will be refunded.

Required Documents
At the start of the rental, the driver must present:
- Valid driving licence
- Credit/debit card
- ID card or passport
All documents must show the driver’s name and must be original documents. Photocopies or photos are not accepted.
If the driver does not provide the required documents, the rental cannot proceed.
Driver Age
Minimum driver age: 18 years old
Driving Licence
The driver’s licence must have been issued at least 1 year before the rental date.
Accepted licences:
- Greek licence
- EU licence
- International Driving Permit (for non-EU countries)
International licences must always be accompanied by the original domestic driving licence.
Security Deposit
A security deposit will be pre-authorised on the renter’s credit/debit card at vehicle collection.
The amount will be released in full at the end of the rental, provided no extra charges apply.
Release time may take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank.
Deposit amounts vary by vehicle category.
Kefalonia Rides is not responsible for any bank charges related to this process.
Fines & Traffic Violations
All fines, penalties and consequences arising from traffic law violations are the sole responsibility of the renter.
An additional €25 administration fee applies.
Accident File Fee
In case of an accident caused by the driver, a €15 accident administration fee applies. This fee is non-refundable.
Insurance Coverage
All Kefalonia Rides vehicles (except bicycles) are insured.
Coverage is subject to the terms of the insurance policy.
The renter/driver is responsible for any damage or theft (partial or total) of the vehicle/bicycle up to its commercial value at the time of the incident.
Amounts relating to damage or theft must be paid immediately by the renter, regardless of insurance coverage.
Fuel Policy
Vehicles are delivered with a full fuel tank.
The customer must return the vehicle with the same fuel level.
If not possible, refuelling charges may apply.
Vehicles must also be returned clean, otherwise a €10 cleaning fee per vehicle may apply.
No Insurance Coverage Applies In Cases Of:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or substances affecting ability
- Undeclared driver using the vehicle
- Damage to underside, tyres or rims
- Driving on unpaved roads
- Failure to report an accident
- Lost keys
- Loss/damage of devices or extra equipment
- Loss of personal belongings
- Misuse or violation of safety instructions
These examples are indicative and not exhaustive.
Damage Policy
Before collection and return, the vehicle must be inspected by both renter and company.
Any new damage after rental start is the responsibility of the renter.
Helmets
Driver and passenger helmets are provided free of charge for vehicles and bicycles.
Pick-Up / Drop-Off
All pick-up and return services are made at the Kefalonia Rides premises during business hours.
Outside business hours: €15 fee
Return to another location: €15 fee + €0.50/km
Buggy Rentals
Buggy rentals are calculated per 24 hours.
After 24 hours, an additional rental day is charged.
Bicycle Rentals
Rental period:
- Summer: 10:00 – 20:00
- Winter: 10:00 – 17:00
Mileage Policy
First 100 km free
After 100 km: €0.50/km
Maximum Weight Limit
Maximum permitted weight per person: 120 kg
Late Return Charge
If the vehicle is returned more than 3 hours late or later than agreed, an extra rental day is charged.
Early Return
No refund applies for early vehicle return.
Reservation Cancellation (Special Clause)
If the booking is cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable.
Ferry Transport
Not permitted.
Cross-Border Travel
Not permitted.
Outside Lixouri / Paliki Area
Not permitted.
